The Meyer Suite
The Meyer Suite is the perfect way to experience the Amish Country. Decorated in Amish décor, the suite provides farmland views where horse and buggies can be seen trotting by.
Why the Meyer Suite?
This suite is named after Elias and Peter Meyer. Elias first purchased the land of the Hertzog Homestead in 1738, the founder of Pennsylvania from the sons of William Penn. He built a grain mill and a house down by the Conestoga River, the house which can still be seen along North Farmersville Road. In 1760, he deeded the Northern part of his land to his son Peter, who build the Sweitzer Barn on the homestead in the mid-1760s and also built the largest part of the house in the late 1760s, where the Historic Metzler Suite is located.
